Kelly Fromm, a veteran, passionate prepper, and owner of Military Badassery, partnered with Lone Star Solar to install a powerful, secure residential solar energy system and 48V battery backup system. Kelly wanted energy independence and unmatched energy uptime to weather local grid outages and prepare for potential threats like EMP attacks.

Lone Star Solar, a certified solar installer, collaborated with Kelly on the design and installation of the home energy storage system. They tailored the solution to meet the demands of his home, which includes three AC systems powered by a 400-amp service.

Kelly sought a reliable energy solution to protect his family from local grid power outages. After experiencing “Snowmageddon” in Texas, which left thousands of residents without power for days, he wanted to safeguard against potential being left without power. Additionally, Kelly upgraded his Sol-Ark® 15K-2P hybrid inverter with military-spec EMP-hardening. His goal was to ensure uninterrupted power in emergencies while saving on energy bills when the grid is operational.
